Medical Pedicure Needs in Atlanta, GA

A medical pedicure at United Foot & Leg is a clinical foot treatment performed in a medical office under physician supervision — a level of hygiene, precision, and safety a salon simply cannot offer. It includes laser nail disinfection, followed by an ionic steam detox, then mechanical debridement of calluses and dry skin, ending with an acid peel. Also available: nail restoration, laser scar reduction, skin tightening and photofacials — plus advanced injectable and filler treatments for conditions of the lower extremity.

What is medical pedicure?

A medical pedicure is a physician-supervised foot treatment that combines the grooming benefits of a traditional pedicure with sterile medical technique. Rather than an emery board and polish at a nail salon, your feet are disinfected with medical-grade laser, detoxed with an ionic steam treatment, and debrided with clinical instruments for calluses and dry skin — finished with an acid peel. For patients with diabetes, poor circulation, or recurring nail and skin problems, a salon pedicure carries real infection risk; a medical pedicure is performed with sterile instruments in a clinical setting.

Common symptoms

  • Calluses, rough patches, or thick dry skin on the feet or heels
  • Thickened, discolored, or unsightly toenails
  • Nails or feet you no longer want to show — sandal season discomfort
  • A history of salon pedicures and concern about infection risk
  • Diabetes or poor circulation that makes salon nail care unsafe
  • Scars, loose skin, or nail damage you would like improved

Common causes & risk factors

  • Years of friction and pressure producing calluses and hardened skin
  • Fungal or dystrophic nail changes that thicken and discolor the nails
  • Underlying conditions — diabetes, circulation problems, skin disease — that require medical-grade foot care
  • Past injury or surgery leaving scars or nail damage
  • Aging skin losing elasticity and hydration

When should you see a foot doctor?

  • Your feet or nails embarrass you and you want them treated safely
  • You have diabetes, neuropathy, or poor circulation and should not visit a nail salon
  • Calluses or dry skin keep returning no matter what you try at home
  • You have had an infection or bad outcome from a salon pedicure before
  • You want nail restoration, scar reduction, or skin tightening with clinical oversight

How we evaluate it

Your visit starts with the $125 base medical exam / office visit — Dr. Jason E. Morris examines your feet and nails, reviews your health history (including diabetes and circulation), and confirms which parts of the treatment are appropriate for you. The medical pedicure itself is then performed in office, priced per the menu below and paid at the visit.

Treatment options at United Foot & Leg

Laser nail disinfection

Medical-grade laser treatment is used to disinfect the nails and surrounding skin — a hygienic foundation no salon basin can match.

Ionic steam detox

A gentle ionic steam treatment follows, softening and preparing the skin of the feet for debridement.

Mechanical debridement of calluses and dry skin

Calluses and thick, dry skin are carefully debrided with clinical instruments, leaving the feet smooth and comfortable.

Acid peel finish

The treatment ends with an acid peel that exfoliates and brightens the skin of the feet.

Nail restoration

Damaged or dystrophic nails can be restored for a natural, healthy-looking appearance.

Laser scar reduction, skin tightening & photofacials

Also available: laser scar reduction, skin tightening, and photofacial treatments for the lower extremity.
